M&P PROGRAMME              

Rs.38 crores and 83 crores have been sanctioned towards augmentation of the existing M&P set up for years 2006-07 and 2007-08 respectively. Out of these approx.Rs.5 crores and 33 crores respectively (total of Rs.38 crores) have been earmarked for setting up additional M&P facilities (7 & 31 items resp. for   2006-07 and 2007-08  ),while the rest is on DRF account. 

CLW is attempting to complete the procurement of the identified M&P on top priority directly, as against the normal channel of procurement through COFMOW. In this regard, necessary approval from Railway Board has also been received. The procurement of additional M&P will be done on a war-footing to complete the same by 2008-09.
