WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY OBSERVED IN CLW
Chittaranjan, 05-06-2010:- The World Environment Day was observed in Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) today . Saplings were planted in the campus of Works office building as a part of grow more tree programme. A seminar was also organised in the centre for design & development, today , wherein many sr. officers and sr. supervisors attended . Several major resolutions were adopted to maintain the green environment of Chittaranjan township . Posters were displayed in many parts of the township to appeal the inhabitants of CLW in order to be sensitive towards the environment .
It is mentioned here that CLW is an ISO 14001 unit in preserving and managing the serene environment of CLW and is the proud recipient of Golden Peacock award for maintaining the environment management system.
